Why is the Pumpkin Patch teal?

The turquoise pumpkin is used to indicate homes offering non-food treats for Halloween, ensuring a safe experience for kids with food allergies.

  • Over 32 million Americans have food allergies, including 5.6 million children under age 18. That's one in every 13 children, or roughly two in every classroom.

  • Eight foods account for 90% of all reactions: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish, and shellfish.
