5 Steps to Complete the Truth Mission

Step 1: Pick three feelings to express through puppets.

Grown-Ups, we encourage you to let your TinySuperhero choose their own emotions. It is enlightening and creates great conversation to see what they choose! You can use the list below to help choose three, but feel free to use ones you come up with, too! Emotions: Happy, Sad, Angry, Frustrated, Silly, Hungry, Lonely, Excited, Hurt, Nervous, Anxious, Annoyed, Scared, Tired, Hyper, Upset

Step 2. Create your Puppets!

Be as creative as you would like to create one puppet for each feeling you choose! There are no rules, so make your puppets with any items you’d like! I made mine with paper plates and popsicle sticks! Write the name of the feeling on each puppet to help name and recognize the feelings.

Step 3. Practice recognizing, naming and sharing your true feelings.

Find opportunities to name your truth by identifying your feelings. For example, you could choose which puppet matches the way you feel before a doctor’s appointment. Or you could choose the puppet that matches how you feel after school one day! When you choose a puppet, practice saying the name of the feeling out loud.
