Goal for the Courage Mission

Create a Shield of Courage to help you conquer scary situations. Courage does not mean that we do not get scared. Everyone gets scared... Parents get scared, lions get scared, even superheroes feel scared sometimes. But, by creating a Shield of Courage, we will feel protected and more courageous as we face and conquer our fears.

5 Steps to Complete the Courage Mission

Step 1: Build your Shield of Courage

The best armor is created with care, precision, and a pinch of magic! Build your Shield of Courage! You can make your Shield out of paper or cardboard, and you can decorate it however you'd like! Download our paper template by tapping the button.

Step 2. Identify things that frighten you.

Shields were invented as tools for protection. Your Shield of Courage is something that you can use to defend and protect yourself when feelings of fear creep up on you. When we feel protected against our fears, we have more Courage to face them! In order to face our fears with Courage, we first need to identify what our fears are! What are some things you are afraid of? Write them down on a piece of paper.

Step 3. Practice defending yourself with your shield.

No matter our age, ability, or size, we all have fears and we all need Courage! While we may practice Courage differently, our Shields are physical reminders that we all have the superpower of Courage within us! Step 4. Take and Post a Picture!
