Goal for the Growth Mindset Mission

Embrace Your Growth Mindset! Did you know that the way we think about ourselves and even the things we say about ourselves can actually affect who we become? As a TinySuperhero, you already have proven to be someone who overcomes obstacles and defies odds. We believe that TinySuperheroes are born with a Growth Mindset, but like all superpowers, we need to practice to keep it strong! When we embrace our Growth Mindset, we believe that we can improve. We know that challenges, obstacles and even failures do not define us, and we use them as motivation to keep working towards our goals! The opposite is a Fixed Mindset, where these challenges make us want to stop trying or give up. A Fixed Mindset prevents us from believing we can improve. When we believe we can improve, we do improve! Here are a few examples: Fixed Mindset: “I can’t walk” Growth Mindset: “I can’t walk, yet!” Fixed Mindset:“I am bad at sports” Growth Mindset: “Sports have been challenging for me.”
